Nichole Larson is a senior History major at Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, MS. She concieved this project during an internship at the Billups-Garth Archives at the Columbus-Lowndes County Library in Columbus, MS in the Fall of 2012. A native of California, Larson's years at MUW have kindled a great love of local history and through her major, coupled with a minor in Women's Studies, she found great joy in the process of creating this website. She hopes that you too find it interesting and are encouraged to do your own research on local history, geneology, or any historical subject that piques your interest.
